Because, I love you.. #writebravely #writetribeproblogger

I remember, those tiny little hands

Wrapping around my neck

In the night so dark,

Keeping me awake and numb.

I remember, humming lullaby

Holding the tiny you

Hoping that you would sleep on cue,

With exhaustion that never said bye.

I remember, putting you down

In the crib, with bated breath

Standing still beside, as would a rock,

Hoping that you sleep to catch my breath.

I remember, thinking that someday I would hope

That you were here to disturb my sleep

That this moment of exhaustion doesn’t matter,

For I love you with all my heart.

Lovely. I feel the same thing when I come home tired and exhausted after my day’s work and look at my baby’s face.. 🙂

As they grow up, we begin to get this feeling. Right now, I don’t have a moment to myself. In a few years I’m sure I would wish to go back to today. Thanks, Lata. 😀
