MicroBlog Mondays Random Thoughts

Year in Review #MondayMusings #MicroblogMondays

Five more days and 2016 will stay in the pages of memory. Before the New Year eve arrives, we have another celebration, that is Kanna’s 7th birthday. December is a month of joy for us with our anniversary, Christmas and Kanna’s birthday, and of course, the wait for the New Year! December is a month of joy and celebration and hope.Year In Review

2016 was obviously a roller coaster ride for us filled with some joyful moments, and some low moments. January saw my promises to write more consistently. I had plans, galore of them. But then between my pregnancy and nausea, I took a break from blogging. We moved back to the US and Kanna said bye to yet another school. Then it was time to find an apartment, settle down, find a school for Kanna. Months got lost in this chaos. In the dawn of October, we welcomed another bundle of joy. Where went November, in between adjusting to the new routines and changes, we never saw. I surprised December by getting behind the wheels after almost three years.

It seems so simple and easy when I summarize a year like this. Yet nowhere throughout 2016 there was a simple easy moment. But the important thing is we made it through.

So, how was your year?

  1. Oh so you’re back in the US? That must have been quite a move. No wonder you were so quiet this last year. Anyways, happy birthday to your little boy and may you have a peaceful and happy 2017.

  2. There’s only five more days left?! Wow, time flies. Wrapping up a year is so simple to speak, but we go through a monumental change or growth during the while. Congrats for your baby and happy birthday to your Kanna. Hope you have a wonderful year ahead. 🙂

  3. True, Vinitha. Summarising is easy but living it is tough. Your 2016 will have your new bundle of joy as the highlight and in a few years that’s the only thing you’ll remember of it. For me 2016 was a good year, not great but good. Looking forward to a better 2017 😊

  4. Glad that December is a month of festivities and celebration for you.
The year’s been rough – but hey, I survived. So I guess, that’s better than nothing.
Here’s hoping the next year is better!

  5. Oh, I understand that 2016 has been a roller coaster ride for you. But I’m so glad that you are back. 🙂 Happy birthday to Kanna and wish you a very happy new year 🙂

  6. I am glad you are healthy now, back to writing and driving 🙂 The year was a mixed bag for me and I hope 2017 gets better.
Hope Kanna had a lovely day. Best to him, always. And love to baby Kanna too.

  7. You said it, Vinitha, it’s all about, whether we makes it or not 🙂

I had a turbulent year with personal loss and lot of stressful days, but the arrival of my son made 2016 a special one for us 🙂

Hope it’s time for a turn around and I am looking forward to 2017 with lots of hope 🙂

Have a great year ahead 🙂
