I’m in a bit of dilemma here. A to Z challenge is open to sign up. Have you participated in A to Z challenge before? I haven’t! This is going to be my first time. That is if I join in. And that is where my dilemma comes in. Though I have no idea what to do and how to proceed, I want to participate in the A to Z challenge. I read all these people raving about their experiences and encounters during the previous challenge. Now I am that kid who enviously eyes at the kid next door who has got a new toy, and I must have it!
The problem is, we are traveling by the end of March. Since it is for renewing the visa, we have no idea as to how long we will be in India or when we will be back here or if we will be back here. I know!! Remember what I wrote about uncertainty and how uncertainty is taking over our lives in the past two years. Here he is again, making sure that we are on our toes. Don’t ask me about Kanna’s schooling. I just can’t recite the same ‘I have no idea what’s happening answer’ again and again.
Anyways, I am leaning towards joining in for the A to Z challenge this year. I have come up with a theme. I am planning to do the posts beforehand and sign up for the challenge only after finishing up all the 26 posts and schedule them all for the month of April. But my problem is I have no idea if I will be able to visit and comment on other blogs during that period. And that’s stirring my unsettled mind. The fun in joining for these kinds of challenges comes from visiting other blogs. And if I can’t do that and read the comments on my blog and join in the fun then what’s the point in signing up to begin with!? There it is. That is my dilemma. Do you have any suggestion to help me with?
While you are at it entertain yourself with these posts. Here comes a short story ‘Tell me your Story‘ by Lata Sunil.
Next in line is a poem ‘The hen and the golden egg‘ by Vishal.
Last but not least another poem ‘reverie..‘ by Divsi.
I hope that you all enjoy the posts as much as I did. 🙂
I’ve been thinking about this challenge too, but haven’t been quite courageous enough to sign up! While it could be really fun, I also think it could be stressful!
Experienced hands are saying that we need to come up with a theme and write posts before the challenge starts to make it less stressful. And it isn’t mandatory to finish up if you find that it is eating your head away. So if you are interested, think about a theme and work on posts now itself. Give it a try. 🙂 I will write the posts starting today. Only our travel plans worries me. 🙂
Its a first time for me too and I am also travelling in April. But, decided to take the plunge. I feel writing to a theme and coming up with new ways to address it is in itself a challenge. I’ve started planning on the entries. Join in the roller-coster!
I really like the idea but I am not sure if my joining in would be a good idea since we are traveling and going to be homeless for at least those 4 weeks of April. I settled on a theme, pretty challenging it was. Now to come up with alphabet posts, another challenge. But it is exciting! 🙂
Hmmm the practicality of it.
And thank you so much for my Sneak from the Past entry 🙂
All my pleasure, Lata. You are quite a story teller. Love the way you present fictions. 🙂
Thank you Vinitha. This feedback definitely helps me focus on my strength!
This challenge looks so exciting!! ?thanks a bunch for sharing my poem ?I am so glad you liked it!
It is exciting, isn’t it? But I am still confused whether to join or not.! It was my pleasure, divya. You have a lovely collection of poems and stories there. Blogging since 2006 aren’t you? Good going. 🙂
Good luck, Vinitha. The A-Z challenge isn’t that difficult – if you are organised. Me – I’m not, so well, it was a bit challenging for me. But you just need to chose a theme, find subjects that match the theme using the alphabets, write short posts and then schedule them 😛
Sounds pretty simple, no? (It’s not! )
Thanks, Sid. But I am not sure yet if I will join in or not. Only if I can come up with 26 posts to my satisfaction, I will sign up. 🙂 The organized part is the one that worries me – I am absolutely a failure in that area! 🙂
26 posts is not a very small number, but you ll do it.. And Dear, I am excited about your visit to India. Hope the Visa renewals are easier as Modi has relaxed some things.
Thank you for the confidence. 🙂 Let’s hope for the best. ?☺
