I am thrilled to present you the one hundredth edition of Fiction Monday this week.

When the first edition went live in 2020, I didn’t think that there would be 100th one coming two years later. Thank you for all of you who encouraged me to carry on with this weekly saga and joined whenever you could. If there is at least one person who would want to write for this weekly writing series, I will come up with the next edition. Without your support fiction Monday would have long stopped from existence.

So thanks again my dear writer friends. You are an inevitable part of Fiction Monday’s journey.

Fiction Monday

The idea is simple – to write. On Mondays, I will post the prompt here. There will be a word prompt and a picture prompt. You have one week to respond with a story. You can choose to include both the prompts in your story or just one prompt – the choice is yours.

The expected word count is between 50 and 500. From the nineteenth edition onwards I am offering something different for fiction Monday. You are welcome to share poetry, non-fiction musings, or fictional pieces. The whole idea is to write. But we will continue to call this #FictionMonday, because why not!

You have time till June 5th, Sunday, 2022.
