Hello everyone!
Welcome to the twenty-second edition of Fiction Monday.
Last week was Thanks Giving holidays here in the US and I didn’t write much. Everyone was home, without work that is, and that called for a relaxed time. Today I would like to share with you all a video on gratitude which I published on my YouTube channel last week. Please do watch and share your thoughts.
I am relatively new at this and there is a lot of room for improvement. I have been sharing my poetry on the channel. Do check it out as well. And subscribe if you like what you see. 🙂
Stories From The Twenty-first Edition

Thank you for joining #FictionMonday and sharing your beautiful tale with us, Shilpa and Suzana.
Fiction Monday
The idea is simple – to write fiction. On Mondays, I will post the prompt here. There will be a word prompt and a picture prompt. You have one week to respond with a story. You can choose to include both the prompts in your story or just one prompt – the choice is yours.
The expected word count is between 50 and 500. From the nineteenth edition onwards I am offering something different for fiction Monday. You are also welcome to offer your poetry and non-fiction musings along with fictional pieces if that’s your preferred area. The whole idea is to write. But we will continue to call this as #FictionMonday because why not!
You have time till December 5th Saturday, 2020.
Don’t forget to add the link to your story in the comments below. I will share your creations here along with the prompts for the twenty-second edition on Monday the 7th of December.

Thank you so much for joining, Shilpa. It inspired me to write my story as well and I did this morning. Will share it tomorrow ?
Loved your Unwritten Words – hopefully you’ll put them down on paper soon!
Thank you so much, Corinne! ❤️
“Where there is gratitude – there is peace” – completely agree with this! being grateful for the little things has kept me sane in 2020! It’s helped keep things in perspective and kept my sanity. I think I will attempt the fiction prompt this week (feeling a little steadier with my writing!) 🙂
Yes, gratitude helps us in more ways than we can count. Especially this year with its tantrums we need gratitude now more that ever.
It would be a delight to have you participate, Pixie. Please do join. ?
Where there is gratitude, there is peace …thats so true. If were not for gratitude, we all would have been mad bu now.
Oh yes! I completely agree with you in this, Ruchi. ?
Amazing to see you make strides with videos on Youtube – I cant even think of doing something like that as I am too self conscious 😉 All the best with the endeavors and I hope this takes wings too!!
Love your soothing and calm voice. Agree with you that gratitude helps us to focus on the good things in our life and train our mind to look for more of the same. I started writing in my gratitude journal but abandoned it after a few days… must get back to it. Thanks for the nudge!
Lovely video, Vinitha! I think that gratitude is the start in doing everything. When we think about what to be grateful, we discover that we do not need anything more. Thank you for your words.

Lovely video Vinitha! Yes, where there is gratitude there is peace! We pray for some many things but forget to be thankful for what we do have. All the best with the YouTube channel! Here is my effort https://yenforblue.com/2020/12/05/success/
I love all your videos, Vinitha. Your poetry and your gratitude videos bear an unmistakeable stamp of your amazing personality and the thoughts that you express have that sense of calm and peace that I totally love to listen to. (You know that I’m a huge fan of your videos!! :)) Actually, there’s so much to be thankful for, but strangely, it takes me a blog post from someone or a video like yours to remind me that I’m NOT acting on my intentions of writing down my blessings even though I’m counting them nearly everyday.
I ma late, I hope you can consider my post too! Am writing after a month https://akswrites.com/2020/12/07/no-place-like-home-fictionmondays/
Awesome. I’m just finishing off the prompt post now. Will add yours before publishing it. So happy that you joined, Akshata. ??
