Hello everyone! Welcome to the twenty-sixth edition of Fiction Monday.
This is the last fiction Monday of 2020. I feel incredibly happy as I type this post. I started Fiction Monday in mid-June 2020 as a bi-monthly feature. Then in August, from the 5th edition onwards it became a weekly feature.
I am grateful to all of you who took part in this activity and gave me the courage to keep showing up. Without your participation Fiction Monday wouldn’t have seen its 26th edition.
Shilpa, Akshata, Archana, Aseem, Shilpa Nairy, Shalini, Esha, Suzana, Sunita, Apeksha, Pixie, Natasha – you all nurtured this little thing I started with your stories and thoughts. I am beyond grateful to you all for that.
We will meet again in the new year and continue sharing our musings. May 2021 bless us with abundance of creativity!
Stories From The Twenty-third Edition

Fiction Monday
The idea is simple – to write fiction. On Mondays, I will post the prompt here. There will be a word prompt and a picture prompt. You have one week to respond with a story. You can choose to include both the prompts in your story or just one prompt – the choice is yours.
The expected word count is between 50 and 500. From the nineteenth edition onwards I am offering something different for fiction Monday. You are also welcome to offer your poetry and non-fiction musings along with fictional pieces if that’s your preferred area. The whole idea is to write. But we will continue to call this as #FictionMonday because why not!
You have time till January 3rd Saturday, 2021.
Don’t forget to add the link to your story in the comments below. I will share your creations here along with the prompts for the twenty-seventh edition on Monday the 5th of January.
