Fiction Monday – 28

Hello everyone! Welcome to the twenty-eighth edition of Fiction Monday.

“You don’t always need a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe, trust, let go, and see what happens.”

~ Mandy Hale

I had a plan. To write, of course. To respind to the prompts here promptly every week. Not only that, I wanted to publish a poem on Monday, a random musing on Wednesday and fiction on Friday based on the prompts. Great plan, isn’t it?

But I didn’t do any of these. Don’t ask me why because I’ve no answer to this quandary.

I am hoping to get back to consistent writing going forth.

Stories From The Twenty-Seventh Edition

An idea from the kitchen by Suzana

Thank you for being a consistent writer of Fiction Monday, Suzana.

Fiction Monday

The idea is simple – to write fiction. On Mondays, I will post the prompt here. There will be a word prompt and a picture prompt. You have one week to respond with a story. You can choose to include both the prompts in your story or just one prompt – the choice is yours.

The expected word count is between 50 and 500. From the nineteenth edition onwards I am offering something different for fiction Monday. You are also welcome to offer your poetry and non-fiction musings along with fictional pieces if that’s your preferred area. The whole idea is to write. But we will continue to call this as #FictionMonday because why not!

You have time till January 16th Saturday, 2021.

Don’t forget to add the link to your story in the comments below. I will share your creations here along with the prompts for the twenty-ninth edition on Monday the 18th of January.

    1. That would be lovely if you participate, Jyoti. Looking forward to reading your response to the prompt. ?

  1. Joining in with mine, Vinitha. I’m also struggling to write more and write often so I can totally see your point. It’s easy to give up, right, but that’s why we mustn’t, so here is my brave attempt (if I may say so, myself!) to write a story based on your prompt this week.
Hope you and the others enjoy it.
