Hello writers! Welcome to the thirty-third edition of Fiction Monday.
“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”
~ Aesop
That’s right. Kindness is not tagged as big or small. Being kind to someone, or to yourself is the best thing that you can do.

Fiction Monday
The idea is simple – to write fiction. On Mondays, I will post the prompt here. There will be a word prompt and a picture prompt. You have one week to respond with a story. You can choose to include both the prompts in your story or just one prompt – the choice is yours.
The expected word count is between 50 and 500. From the nineteenth edition onwards I am offering something different for fiction Monday. You are also welcome to offer your poetry and non-fiction musings along with fictional pieces if that’s your preferred area. The whole idea is to write. But we will continue to call this as #FictionMonday because why not!
You have time till February 20th Saturday, 2021.
Don’t forget to add the link to your story in the comments below. I will share your creations here along with the prompts for the thirty-fourth edition on Monday the 22nd of February.
Word Prompt– KIND

Wow! 32nd week! Times flies, isn’t it?
WIll try and write for this one soon, Vini. Thanks!
Being kind to oneself is so much important and a concept we did not know in our lives until a few years ago. How generously we criticized ourselves for being the type of person that we were. Thank goodness we have moved ahead from those past days.
Will this qualify as a 50 word post? 😀
Very true Vini- Kindness to self is so under rated. In fact we dont even know how to recognize kindness anymore and at times either take the things for granted or are too stand offish to accept it so.
Aesop was so wise, wasn’t he? I couldn’t agree more, Vinitha. Kindness makes the world go around! We all need it at some point in our lives, irrespective of whether we are rich or poor! Showering kindness makes us feel happy from the inside and receiving it makes us grateful. If only more people understood this fact, the world would be so much better for all of us, wouldn’t it?
Kindness is not that common. While growing up, I thought being kind was something that came naturally to people. But it really is a virtue and very few people have it as their first response to everything.

The wisdom of the world is so ancient, but the mankind forgotten so many ideas! 🙂
Thank you Vinitha for the game! Have a nice week ahead!
Very apt for Kindness Week. Funny but the prompt made me think of someone forcing an employee to resign! My mind is twisted that way! 😉
