Happy Place #SoulfulSunday

Life is a mix of this and that. Sometimes life resembles a pile-up crash on the highway. But we need to keep moving forward irrespective of how disastrous it appears.

To keep moving forward we need to fill our head and heart with happy thoughts and positive vibes. Especially, when our life goes through one of its disastrous moments.

But how do we do that?

It’s not as though one can switch from a plaintive mood to a cheerful one with the flip of a switch!

That’s why we need our happy place. Each of us would identify our happy place as absolutely different and unique. The purpose of a happy place is to restore the colors of one’s life instantly albeit temporarily. It is like a reminder that life is beyond the disaster zone it appears to be at the moment.

My happy place is being in nature. The sky is my favorite happy place. Gazing at the sky, clouds, stars on the night sky – it all wipes out my mind’s glum instantly. I can’t exist with positivity in my heart if not for the little joys the nature around me provides. Being in nature and conversing with the elements of nature gives my mind a respite from the chaos of life.

We need our happy place to rescue from the mundane life and its pricks.

What is your happy place?

  1. Nature is my happy place too. Gazing at the white fluffy clouds in the blue sky, the various stages of the moon in the night sky and the stars, the swaying of the trees in the breeze, the droplets of the rain falling on the window panes, the sound of rain; there is so much in nature that can put us in touch with our inner selves.
