This hour of the morning is filled with silence. There is no way to break it.
As I enjoy this silent atmosphere my mind brims with silence – untold reciprocity between the universe and its entities.
I love the morning silence because that’s the only time I get to experience silence nowadays.
I can’t even hear the voices inside my head, as they too observe silence in solidarity. This must be how a floating rock in space feels, aimless and profound peace. My mind floats somewhere between the pages where a page is spilled with ink and cluttered with words, and a page is waiting to soak up fresh ideas.
I would’ve thought that my mind would be bored at this rather different composure. Because normally my mind is like a busy seashore filled with people of all kinds occupying every corner, and waves crashing nonstop. But no, the mind needs this peace and quiet to make room for more thoughts and ideas, perhaps.
Maybe, that’s why silence is welcomed at any time of the day. And this morning hour honors that silent moment to its best.
As the house wakes up slowly, the silence I enjoy is peeled off layer by layer. I enjoy that process of unraveling silence and welcoming sound bit by bit as well.
Tomorrow I will get to enjoy the quietness all over again again.

That sound of silence…how much I love it…those morning hours are sheer bliss. And I know what you mean by the way that silence keeps delayering with each member of the family waking up, one after the other. It happens exactly the same way for me too. Beautiful free write again this week, Vinitha. Loved the lovely portrayal of your quiet mornings! Wishing you a wonderful rest of the day, dear. <3
I love the morning too. Enjoyed reading about your peaceful mornings, Vini.
