Gratitude Life

Weekly Gratitude – 3 #SoulfulSunday

This week went by quickly as Monday was a holiday here and the week started on Tuesday. It wasn’t a busy week and for that I am thankful. It wasn’t a dull week either.

I participated in the #hopewriterschallenge on Instagram. My participation was on a whim and I am glad I did join in. I wrote snippets of poetry pieces for each prompt word. Everything was done on the fly and the important thing is I did it. I think working on a deadline works better for me because otherwise I would’ve ended up taking a big chunk of time and might not even finish the task in the struggle of getting everything perfect. When I have only 30 minutes to finish a task, I sit and write in 15 minutes. Isn’t that marvelous?

I am thankful for being able to read daily this week. Reading is a relaxing activity for me. I am enjoying my current reads.

I made good progress in my coursework this week. Most of the time is spent on my studying activities.

I had body pain at the beginning of the week which was no fun. Despite doing stretches, yoga, pilates, and my regular walks, nothing seemed to help relieve the pain. But as the week progressed pain came down and I can’t be thankful enough to be in a pain-free mode again.

Getting in some sort of workout every day makes me feel accomplished. My regular yoga practice in the morning has come to a halt now as I am suffering from the incurable case of ‘it’s too cold to get out of the bed syndrome’. Anyway, I do my yoga during the daytime to take a break from the sitting activities that I tend to do mostly.

This is the fluid art I finished this week. Do you like it?

I used a straw to blow the paint here and there and it was a very satisfying feeling. I am trying out these new techniques found on YouTube. I am so grateful for getting in touch with the valuable resources and tutorials on YouTube.

This is a sort of mandala I made using the Procreate app on my iPad. I love using the procreate app. I have made many mandalas in this and will share them in a future post.

Overall, this was a normal week with a bit of pain. I am ready for the last week of January and hope to make it a better one.

So, how was your week?
