Creative Writing

Fiction Monday – 31

Hello writers! Welcome to the thirty-first edition of Fiction Monday.

“You can always edit a bad page. You can’t edit a blank page.”

― Jodi Picoult

Often getting to that bad page is the difficult part. And that’s why we use writing prompts. Internet is filled with writing prompts of all kinds. I would like to think that this little exercise is helping to flex our creative muscles.

I had a crazy week and hence couldn’t finish any of the creative work. This week am all for creating those bad pages. Hope you will join me, too.

Stories From The Thirtieth Edition

Feast and some quotes by Suzana

Last week again Suzana came to the rescue being the only entry. Thanks, Suzana!

Fiction Monday

The idea is simple – to write fiction. On Mondays, I will post the word prompt here. You have one week to respond with a story. You can include the prompt word as such or a derivative of the word in your story.

The expected word count is between 50 and 500. From the nineteenth edition onwards I am offering something different for fiction Monday. You are also welcome to offer your poetry and non-fiction musings along with fictional pieces if that’s your preferred area. The whole idea is to write. But we will continue to call this #FictionMonday because why not!

You have time till February 6th Saturday, 2021.

Don’t forget to add the link to your story in the comments below. I will share your creations here along with the prompts for the thirty-second edition on Monday the 8th of February.

    1. That’s an incredible journey, isn’t it, to follow the pencil around. 🙂
      Thank you for joining, Suzana.
